Righteously Raw Chocolate
Back in 2006, Audrey Darrow (the founder of Righteously Raw Chocolate), having just gone through radical surgery, radiation and chemotherapy for breast cancer, was working at a health food store in San Diego in the deli and began to wonder, why were all the organic, healthy, raw products she was purchasing so prohibitively expensive? Why shouldn’t everyone be able to afford to eat the kinds of food she bought? The wheels started turning and in 2007 Righteously Raw as a concept was born: healthy food at an affordable price, the way chocolate ought to be.

Improve their online visibility, increase traffic and revenue.

Fixed blocked resources/JavaScript files that were not crawl-able.
Minified JavaScript/CSS files to increase page speed across individual shop pages.
Restricted indexation of pages with no SEO value.
Implemented rich snippets and schema markup on individual product pages.
Added SERP breadcrumbs on individual product pages.
Setup object caching to increase site/page speed.
Setup Schema Markup/Rich Snippets.
Optimized and compressed all images on the site.
Added primary target keywords to image files.
Updated image URLs to reflect targeted keywords.
Created SEO Friendly Alt-Txt for product images.
Optimized page structure; Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, Header Tags, keyword content, URLs.
Targeted Google’s answer box with articles based on logical queries (i.e. “what is the difference between raw chocolate and dark chocolate”).
Increased internal link structure by linking to orphaned pages.
Added “quick-buy” on product pages to increase conversions and condense the checkout process to one page.
Setup re-marketing for abandoned carts to increase revenue and retention.
Fixed broken links/miscellaneous SEO errors and setup 301 mapping.
Pursued backlink opportunities from competitors and performed outreach to food/chocolate bloggers.
The Results
The Proof is in the Pudding
Diligent strategy and online marketing resulted in the client’s site ranking organically on the first page for all targeted keyword phrases: (raw chocolate, wholesale raw chocolate, organic raw chocolate, raw chocolate gift baskets, buy raw chocolate in bulk, difference between raw chocolate and dark chocolate). This added further visibility to their product line in turn driving more purchasing to purchase their chocolate and lowering their PPC due to organic search success.
